iCarnatic runs 3 Festivals every year as follows. iCarnatic welcomes advanced students of music & dance to apply to perform at the 3 festivals.

• Summer Music & Dance Festival in Chicago, IL - Typically weekend close to Aug 15 (India Independence Day)
• Margazhi in USA Festival in Detroit, MI - Typically during Thanksgiving weekend
• Margazhi in Chennai - Typically 2nd half of December in Chennai

• YouTube video links for recent full length performance(s)

Guidelines

Please Note:

• Each event has its own selection criteria based on local requirements and is subject to change. Please contact local organizer for criteria and application procedure.
• All decisions are made by local organizer(s) and all questions are to be directed to the local organizer(s) only.
• Local performers are encouraged to attend and volunteer in as many local events as possible. This increases performance opportunity. Local performers may have relaxed criteria.
• Performing in one event / festival does not guarantee selection in another event / festival.
• Unfortunately No compensation is paid for performance or travel.
• Performance will be webcast and permanently stored in YouTube archives for public viewing.

Our general requirements are:

• Ability to deliver / accompany a concert in typical concert / dance format
• Winning well known competitions in advanced categories
• Teacher recommendations
• Arangetram for Dance

Application Dates:

The application must be received as follows. Application received earlier or later will not be considered. Apply to each festival separately.
